Easy to see that crowton's success wasn't because of his great schemes. He had some good players, most notably Staley, and when he lost those players he tried getting players that had a lot of skill, but weren't a good fit. If anything, it teaches that you can't take a season of success or failure and project the future for that coach. Bad or good. Once we saw a 2 or 3 of his recruiting classes we saw what kind of coach crowton was.
