I'm in Tucson & have thought about a cat to solve my critter problem.
I've only seen 1 scorpion, but have an issue w/ voles digging holes in my yard.
Were you able to keep you cat outside, even in the heat? Or was it an inside cat?

One of the lab techs who worked at my grad school lost a young grandson to a scorpion sting in AZ. They're bad news.
