Spraying regularly + black light hunting around house works.
When I do that consistently, we have no issues inside the house.
I've been stung once at home and my wife was stung at a park. Hers only hurt for a couple of days and my finger was numb for about 3-4 months.

One of the lab techs who worked at my grad school lost a young grandson to a scorpion sting in AZ. They're bad news.
