And I wasn't born into a culture that crammed baseball, football and basketball
down my throat?

Soccer is not being crammed down America's throat. Youth soccer, increasing globalism, immigration, attributes if the game itself and other factors are resulting in an organic growth of the Game in the U.S.

And people that call it a disease and crap like that are usually resentful and sometimes even fearful of the Game's rise here. That is more "diseased" than the Game itself. I'll give you an example. There was a poll question on CB that posed the question of what the biggest threat to American culture, or values or something to that effect was. So when someone replied "soccer", instead of the multitude of more obvious options, I searched their posting history. You guessed it, he was a huge baseball fan. Why would soccer be foremost on his mind In response to such a question? It seems like a disproportionate number of the soccer haters are big baseball fans. We had one here on CB just a few weeks ago.
