He stepped down at age 57 after a heart attack. He was the CEO and Chairman of the Board for 10 years leading to his resignation.

In fact, this is the guy that Fortune Magizine said was the world greatest capitalist for his time at IBM. Actually, Tom Watson jr. is any awesome example of a great leader in business.
