Since this is an anonymous Internet board, I'll be blunt here.
This post sounds like it is coming from someone who has followed a program: getting into a good law school, making law review, applying for the right federal clerkships. Big law used to be the automatic next step in that trajectory, but the market is not what it used to be and not everything is laid out neatly before you. That's actually a good thing and you're doing well to tackle the question of what to do next.

But remember the qualities a big law firm would be looking for. Someone who is ambitious, decisive, focused, confident, driven, competitive, analytical, self-determined. Then ask yourself if your post conveys these qualities. I'm not saying to be pushy or inconsiderate, or to come across as a future colleague nobody wants to work with. But in some sense even when you are just exploring options you need to be selling yourself and presenting yourself as a good fit.
