Wrong.
Even through our limited exposure to quotes coming out of practice from players and coaches you can feel the difference.

I’ve heard practices are easier, more laid back, more fun, multiple times from more than one source.

You also don’t hear how brutally hard they worked players after a loss anymore. You don’t hear rhetoric about accountability, hard work being more important than talent, getting nothing until you’ve earned it, etc. You don’t see mid-season coaching shakeups and absolute intolerance for loss. You don’t hear coaches angry, railing on about how our identity, about how “at BYU, I will not tolerate a team running on us”. You don’t see coach encouraging walk-ons to push more talented players by working harder. You don’t hear about coaches joining the team in triathlons and working right next to them.

There’s a difference. And you don’t have to be incredibly connected to feel it.
