The big problem is that now, whether we like it or not, we are the little brother... Until we can get up to the level that Utah is in, we're in trouble.

You can make the argument that programs like Memphis, ECU and UCF/USF survive in states with P5 competition as far as recruiting. But those states also have a greater population and are often located in HUGE market hubs. BYU doesn't have the population or the same market hub that a lot of those schools do.

Unfortunately the way I see it, until BYU gets into a P5 or relaxes the HC we will struggle to reclaim our place as the premier football program in the state.
