I’m a die hard cougar fan since 1980. The Whittinghams were neighbors when Big Fred coached for the Rams & they lived in OC for many years.
There are better days ahead. Last year with a fully healthy Taysom we would have won 10+ games.
Lately There seems to be very little perspective on this board.
From the latter half of 1985 with Bosco’s shoulder injury until Detmer’s sophomore year BYU was very mediocre.
Hancock, Walsh, Sark, Doman, Beck, Hall, Heaps, Nelson, Hill, Stewart and Mangum all have had impressive stretches but none of them have been a consistent All-American level player. Detmer was the last one.
BYU hasn’t been a consistent top 20 team for years, but has had great seasons every few years.
There are better days ahead.
