Elder Renland was my stake president when my wife and I were at the U. He is about as big a Ute fan as they come. He used to swap his 50 yard line tickets with stake members so he could sit in the student section and he painted face red and white at least once that I know of. So I don't see him as a big help for BYU athletics.
