It is interesting to hear the talk about the NBA MVP and then to take a look at
the odds.
For those of you that didn't see Shaq said he thinks SGA deserves the MVP this year as he is the "baddest" man in the NBA.
SGA has been great this year, no doubt. So has Luka.
But I looked up bet365 for the odds to win and it is as follows:
Jokic -1100 (1/11...so you bet $11 to win $1)
SGA +900 (so basically 9/1 or bet $1 to win $9)
Luka +1600 (16/1)
Giannis +8000 (80/1)
Tatum +8000 (80/1)
That doesn't seem to match the narrative to me. I mean this is basically saying it is over (and all of the other books are similar) while many around the league seem to be still discussing it. Not to mention there are 10+ games left for each of these guys.
