Many of the SEC & B10 programs would be wise to want this 70 league conference.
There are many in those leagues that are in a precarious situation of being cut off from equally shared revenue in their own leagues or even kicked out. This could happen with the next 5-10 years.

I don’t have any faith this 70 league conference will happen though. Those in charge aren’t nearly as brilliant as I used to believe or they see themselves. Lastly very few in charge really care at all about “student athletes”

I actually think it would take government intervention to make this happen. As much as I find that distasteful almost all schools get ridiculous amounts of money from the government in various ways so they aren’t as detached as they like.
