From southern California to Utah to visit grandparents. We'd stop at Circus Circus for $19 a night. Only foreign country I went to was a day trip to Tijuana. I went on a plane one time before my mission. We weren't poor by any means. It just wasn't what most people did.

My neices and nephews have seen multiple foreign countries, take 2 or 3 big trips every year, etc. I don't fault them one bit. I wish I could have done a lot more traveling at their age. But I also don't want to hear the whining about how tough they have it.
