Agreed, but since most parents buy smart phones for kids, the social dilemma...
... for kids without the smartphone is difficult to ignore. I wish smartphones and social media were not part of kids' lives, but there is nothing more socially ostracizing today than a youth who can't be part of the online conversations, meme sharing, pop culture awareness and references, social media sharing, and event planning that all take place through the smart phones.

Although that one child may benefit from not being exposed to the myriad of online chatter, bullying, and comparisons that take place every day on phones, but they will also be mocked, left out, and left behind socially because everyone else is addicted to the drug and want only to hang with other addicts.
