Paying one of these guys 2-4x more than the others would be horrible for the locker room and team chemistry. Especially where one of these guys seemed to have considerably less heart than the others.
Even if it didn't destroy the locker room, paying Robinson $1 million plus this year would only increase the salaries for Saunders, Hall, etc next year who would definitely want (and deserve to be paid). If Robinson is a $1 million player, who else on the roster is a million-dollar player? And it just continues to spiral out of control.
Eventually, donors are going to stop donating. There has to be value for the donors and businesses for NIL to work. All of us as fans probably have a little bit of throw-away money that we can just give in hopes of getting a better team next year. But eventually, that money dries up.
