There is a massive difference between saying that and actually believing it will
happen. Of course BYU would be out if it got to the point BYU couldn't fulfill its mission...BYU and the church is like that about everything they do. A good follow-up question to that statement would have been "do you think it ever actually gets that bad that BYU has to pull the plug?" The answer to that would be a hades no.
