What is your storied history/tradition at BYU?
Face paint with a blue face and a big "Y" on it. That is original and you likely originated it....

The Yale "Y"? Or is it changing colors of blue, helmet colors, logos, etc.?

Is it being the perenial September BCS bustes or even September National Champs?

Or is it setting expectations so high - due to a team of 25 yrs ago, that the fan base is always dissapointed yr. over yr?

Is it going on for months on CB about BYU's terrific recruiting classes and then complaining that you can't really get the elite player due to the honor code?

Is it the new tradition of referencing the "football is the 5th on our list of priorities" excuse as soon as you get hammered?

Is it that you have put one (1) QB into the NFL in like a decade - he does not start. Is that the tradition you are talking about?

By the way, why does Miami do the hand "U"? We are the U of U, BYU is a "U". I don't see where they have any more claim to it.

Are you "fully invested"? Thank you Urban....Real original Bronco.

Helmet stickers earned even before the season starts? Great new tradition. Confused even the announcers at the OU game. What where they for? "Great fireside team, put one of these on your helmet." "Great practice team, put one of these on your helmet."

We had an Indian as our mascot but was forced by the ACLU to change it. The FSU Seminols are the only other team associated with an American Indian Tribe to be allowed to keep the team name the same as the tribe.

The Ute Tribe wanted us to keep it and fought the ACLU to allow us to keep it. We did lose the mascot, saddly, eventhough the Ute tribe even said they would have someone from their actual tribe be the mascot year over yr.

What again, is BYU's storied tradition? 2 conf. championships in a decade?

Utah has more conf. championships overall, more wins overall, higher winning % overall, more bowl wins overall, higher bowl winning % overall, a 20 game lead in the rivalry, twice as many undefeated seasons, more wins over ranked teams and BCS teams overall, etc. And I am talking historically not just the past 20 yrs.

I could go on if you would like.....Is BYU's tradition basically 1984 and a bunch of good QB's in your history? It has really been a long time since BYU has had a QB actually play in the NFL. There is only one currently on a roster. I am just saying, with your storied tradition and all......
