He was merely alluding to the infamous Fisher DeBerrry line
After losing to TCU in 2005, DeBerry said:

"Afro-American kids can run very, very well. That doesn't mean that Caucasian kids and other descents can't run, but it's very obvious to me they run extremely well."

Which then prompted this poster at the BYU-AFA game the following week:

Of course, BYU beat AFA, 62-41, perhaps proving the poster correct.
