The fact is Utah should have way more fans than BYU in Utah and the fact that they don't is telling. 90% of Utah alum are from Utah and almost as many stay. Only 20-30% (depending on the year) of BYU students are from Utah and the number of alumni is about the same within Utah. utah should dominate the state and yet they don't come close to doing that. Instead of boasting about how the numbers are close you should come to realize that it is pathetic that you don't have many more in Utah
