If you take away turnovers
which you can't (the turnovers are the story of the game), but I'm indulging your theory, the game's completely different.

Turnover 1 - Giveaway TD
Turnover 2 - Quezada fumble, on Utah's side of the field (Utah 44) after several consecutive positive plays. (Likely points off the board)
Turnover 3 - Di Luigi fumble, on Utah's 3 yard line after driving 77 yards. (definite points off the board).
Turnover 4 - Fumbled kickoff, Utah TD

- This is where the defense quit.

Turnover 5 - Heaps fumble at 6. Utah FG
Turnover 6 - Heaps INT. Next play TD on Defense that had quit earlier
Turnover 7 - Nelson Fumble. Utah TD.

The turnovers were catastrophic in this game. There's no question that the TOs are the story of the game. Utah would not have put those second half numbers up without the turnovers - whether BYU succeeded offensively or not.
