Utah is absolutely a better team, 24-10 when the turnover
margin was 3-2.
Is Utah 44 points better than BYU, no.
But Utah was leading by two touchdowns when the breaks were pretty even.
BYU 3 and out
Utah drives the length of the field for touchdown 14-10
Utah gets the opening kickoff 2nd half drives the length of the field, scores touchdown. 21-10
BYU 3 and out
Utah gets the ball drives the length of the field, and kicks a field goal 24-10
Only 7 of the 24 Utah points were a result of a turnover at that point. And again, BYU to that point had 3 turnovers to Utah's 2, so there was not a big disparity at that point.
Utah was already cruising before the wheels fell off of BYU.
