I did not say that it would have been the same type of
blowout, just that the part of the game where Utah took control and went up 24-10 there were no turnovers. BYU had the ball up 10-7. From that point Utah scored 17 straight points by driving the length of the field on offense, and forcing BYU into punts on defense. There was not another turnover until after 24-10.

Now regarding BYU's turnovers, of course they were good for Utah. Just like Utah's 2 turnovers to that point in the game were good for BYU as they stopped Utah drives.
