This is probably "almost right," based on Samuelson's exact
words. Samuelson said, "if you understand BYU and the Brethren, you will understand why we don't want to be a part of a BCS conference with all of the financial obligations that go with it."
I don't think it was an issue of financial disclosure, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Big 12 asked for a commitment that BYU spend more $$ on its athletic program, and BYU said no, we like it the way it is, thank you very much. That would not surprise me one bit . . .
