her son took someone's phone and a melee ensued and she tried to break it up. In that process she was struck by flailing arms. The BYU "assaulter" did not assault her intentionally. Mrs. Whittingham's boy needs thicker skin...you don;t take someone's phone merely because they are taking pictures of dejected football players. There is a reason this incident died on the vine and went away quietly without any charges being filed. This is not guesswork on my part, I live 5 houses down from a member on the Utah football staff and heard this out of his own mouth.
