This post is totally wrong.
More than 10,000 CURRENT students at the U are active members of the church. Many professors are LDS. Many in the administration are LDS. The LDSSA student group is all over the place on campus. The school cooperates with the LDS institute and provides venues and funding for parking/events/etc. All three major coaches of the football team are LDS. The notion that Utah is anti-LDS is just wrong.
Furthermore, the notion that Utah's identity is to be anti-BYU is just ignorant and stupid. True there are some anti-BYU fans out there, but it's not the "large and vocal majority", and it's not any different than the anti-Utah sentiment that you hear from a minority of BYU fans.
