It's a pity that they didn't pull things together earlier. The QB situation didn't help, for sure, but despite that they didn't have a really bad game except for against CAL. In the losses to USC, AZ State, and WA they were in a position to possibly win until turnover sprees (3Q AZ St), poor run stopping (2nd half of WA game), and a blocked FG (USC).

They have to be kicking themselves right now because AZ State has had a small collapse. Had the Utes put things together earlier then they could be likely playing Oregon in a few weeks. I'm just hoping that John White IV doesn't get injured - that would be a bigger loss potentially than Wynn was. White has become the center of the offense and without a doubt the team MVP.

Next season will be interesting. Wynn should be back and Hays will still be with the team. Hopefully the extra time will help Wynn get his throwing shoulder/arm improved because if Hays is number one John White will become the centerpiece again for a whole season.

Putting all the team's eggs in one basket is somewhat unnerving purely because of possibility of injury.
