Hopefully you're wrong.
Hays has been a good back-up now that he's learned to play within himself and now that they've adapted the offense according to his strengths. However, at least as of now, he's not much of a throwing threat and more importantly he really has no back-up.

The Utes have little QB depth right now and next year won't be any better if Wynn doesn't return (they'll have 1 new freshman QB (Travis Wilson) because Chase Hansen will probably be mission-bound). Personally, I don't want to enter the 2012 season with Hays as #1 and no Wynn. Wynn, despite his injuries, has been a good (albeit not great) QB. He knows the offense, makes good decisions generally, and can move the passing game with serviceable skill.
