than football. good programs are found in many different places. conference affiliation means little...unless you're in the big east or acc.

and with regards to utah, this is only the first year that they have been in the pac12, so you really can't say things like "a pac12 team should never lose to a wcc team". it's ridiculous, coonass. what's funny, though, is that you start your post out by telling us about all the good things that utah has done, as a member of the lesser conferences, then you tell us that a pac12 team shouldn't lose to a wcc team, thereby unintentionally downplaying their accomplishments.
