Utah has no real reason to drop the rivalry
Utah needs the "Holy War" more than BYU needs it. Utah fans will say with an intense conference schedule and upcoming mandated Big 10 games they just can't keep up with our rivalry. I say bull and they are just trying to squirm out of this rivalry right now while they have the upper hand. And I suspect it is all of the fair weather fans that weren't around before 2003 as well who are trying to get rid of the rivalry.

Utah can't even win the recruiting battle in it's own state...to a "mid major". If they want to own Utah then they need to keep their BYU game on the schedule as a selling point to recruits. Utah is a regional program and their PAC 12 schedule automatically covers it. I don't want to see them squirm away from the "Holy War". It's value added to them....no matter what the post 2003 fans think over there.

This is their schedule this year. Take out Utah State and Northern Colorado and insert anyone else every year and they will be just fine with us and their conference.
