a Utah/Pitt comparison is irrelevant. BYU has followed Pitt into mediocrity. So you won 10 games last season. Any self respecting team would done that or better against the competition you had.
And you were talking about recruiting saying that BYU does the leg work and Utah follows with recruits. That is exactly what you were talking about. So don't pretend it wasn't.
Pitt is a more storied program than BYU, by a lot. They aren't relevant on the national scene.
Utah may never win a NC, but they at least have a clear path to it. BYU doen't even have a clear path to a BCS game. The chances of BYU playing in a BCS bowl game is very very remote. It will not happen with Bronco at the helm.
Take 2012 as an example. They have the schedule that is strong enough to qualify them, if they go undefeated. They won't. In fact 8 wins will be a really good season for BYU in 2012. BYU will get 7 or 8 wins in 2012.
