Gurney is a tool. He has also edited his comments on the
same blog now, three times.

Utah will offer kids when they feel good about it. Often after elite camps when they can see them up close and personal on campus. It also has to do with positions of need. etc.

Timing is nearly irrelevant in all of it. To assume that BYU is doing the leg work and then Utah is 'piggy-backing' off of them is laughable.

Like BYU has done such a great job of finding the best talent around...How about ZERO NFL draftees in the past 2 seasons?

BYU offeres early. In fact there have been many articles where Bronco has commented on this as a strategy of BYU's. For years now.

What is funny is that BYU will often offer kids after Utah has as well. NOW that's piggy-backing. Espeically if your initial strategy is to offer early, like BYU's is.

It's just recruiiting. I would also say that the majority of BYU's starters, on either side of the ball, would not start at Utah in 2012. Also, Utah's recruiting classes have been ranked much higher than BYU's the past couple of years.

Utah isn't in a 'follow' position. They offer who they want to have in the program. Timing is irrelevant. Utah does their own homework. Let there be no doubt in that.
