I know lots of Ute fans and only a few are motivated primarily by BYU hatred. The Utes are setting up their schedule to make a run at the upper tier of the PAC12. Kyle wants an SEC type non-conference schedule with a bunch of patsy home games. If the Utes succeed in becoming an upper tier PAC12 team, our fanbase will grow dramatically. Beating USC this year would be HUGE. If the Utes become like Oregon State, or WSU - dropping BYU will be viewed as a big mistake. The whole thing is a gamble. If we lose, we will come crawling back to BYU - begging for a game. If we win, the future is so bright that we will have to wear shades and BYU will have to agree on 2-1 or 3-1 deals in order to play us.

On a personal note, I will really miss the rivalry with BYU. I have had loads of fun at LES dressed in red. We drive in a caravan with lots of BYU & Ute fans and make fun of each other all game long.
