So let's say the U becomes an "elite" team in the PAC

What on earth does that have to do with how you schedule your rival? In my view, the BYU/Utah rivalry should have NOTHING to do with leverage and clout, but respect. The U asking for 2 for 1s says more about the class of Utah than anything else... And had the roles been reversed, the U fan base should be up in arms, cause it's still classless no matter the team...
