I know it's tough to root for Whitt as Ute coach but...
He still has ties to BYU and shows respect. For example, the ESPN segment with Urban Meyer last year when he declined to get into the "I still can't say it" thing.
Also, Whitt was instrumental in one of BYU's greatest victories -- the Miracle Bowl vs. SMU.
Whitt is also a product of the LaVell Edwards era, which is pretty cool.
