Most people will remember what a fiasco having the new grass in 2009 that hadn't fully taken root. Players were slipping all over the place and the sod was everywhere.
In the day and age of airplanes and plastic bags, it's really not that difficult to transport pieces of sod.
Also, in Colorado I had access to an automated irrigation system. The controls I keep in the garage. I bought it from a company called "Rainbird". It was like magic. I know it is hard to believe. lol.
