After the BYU-Utah game I saw and held the chunk of grass and can verify that it came from LES. I was there when it was planted at the feet of Touchdown Jesus and can confirm this is true.

I started to wonder if it was working already when moments later we saw a member of the marching band trip and fall during their "Here come the Irish" march into the stadium. It was a little sad, but a little funny at the same time. Then when we were leading the game going into the 4th quarter, I was even more curious about how much influence our transplant had! Clearly the natural branch, which we had grafted into the wild tree was not yet strong enough to overtake the entire tree, but by the next time we play there it will!
