The Deseret News is wrong about budgets
The Des News article says this:
"The Runnin' Utes will be runnin' all the way to the bank as the University of Utah's football team posted $21.2 million in revenue and a $9.8 million profit. The BYU football team also netted some healthy earnings gaining $15.6 million in total revenue for a $4.89 million profit."

Yet the US Department of Education says this (http://ope.ed.gov/athletics/index.aspx):

Reporting Year: 7/1/2011 - 6/30/2012

Utah
Football Revenue $20,759,062
Football Expenses $14,835,266

Total atheltic program revenue and expenses:
$46,153,197

BYU
Football Revenue: $22,406,413
Football Expenses: $14,991,538
Total atheltic program revenue and expenses:
$53,033,500
$48,334,730

BYU's Program made 1.7 million more than Utahs, and BYU's Athletic department spends 2 million more and makes 5 million more in profit.
