I do like the fact that we're targeting viable athletes to fill out the class rather than instate kids with the stats, but not the measurables.
Our focus on OL was a mandatory one, too. Most of those big boys aren't improving our ranking, but their bios all check out, IMO.
Believe it or not, talent-wise we're still recovering from Doman's blunders with the OL. Between the mission delay & our small recruiting base, BYU is NOT a program that can afford to overlook that position from 2 years & NOT pay for it years down the road. Every year the LDS community has probably 1-3 guys we have no shot at, & 3-5 guys we have to throw everything & the kitchen sink at with our recruiting pitch. If we fail to do that each & every year, we will invariably have several holes on our line each & every year.
And nothing kills BYU's chances at competing on O more than that, probably.
