You are comparing to this year, and yes, the pace is about the same I will give you that.
But this whole argument stemmed from Lebron vs Jordan. Lebrons majority of his career was 2000's and early 2010's The pace was painfully slow in tthat era. So saying that Lebron played in a much slower era compared to Jordan is definitely fair. I think even you will admit that.
But you are right in a sense that 2019 has caught back up, my only point is that Lebron only got year with that pace (so far).
