BYU played 4 P5 opponents in 2015 all on the road. I'd say that is a toss up compared to 2019.

Boise State and USU are probably at similar places.

BYU played UConn, ECU, and Cincy all at home in 2015 compared to Toledo, USF, and SDSU all on the road in 2019. I'd say these games are tougher this year.

The gimmee games in 2015 were SJSU, Fresno, and Wagner compared to Liberty, UMass and Idaho State. I'd say these games were tougher in 2015.

All in all, I think the schedules are pretty similar. BYU went 9-3 in 2015 and were a few plays away against Mizzou and UCLA from 11-1 with a freshman QB.

I agree with you that 6 or 7 wins may be optimistic this year but that is just an indication of how far expectations have fallen.
