Didn’t Taysom last four games that year? I don’t know of another fan base that’ll call their player in the same situation a heisman candidate years later as if he was really in the running. And it’s not just your post, I notice that with a lot of other posters here. Yes, Taysom was a preseason candidate, but mentioning that after only playing four games and 5 years later is a stretch to make him sound more legendary. Yes, he’s a BYU legend, but it has nothing to do with being a preseason candidate. It almost diminishes his legacy when you add the “heisman candidate” tag to his name.
