I get that Kalani used sophmores and freshman a lot in his second and third year. This to me shows a lack of training up his juniors and seniors. Can a freshmans natural ability occassionally be so good that they should be played ahead of a more skilled junior? Yes, but when it is happening all over the field, it speaks to the lack of teaching up the underclassman the year before. Maybe this can be explained by the fact that the new coaches are too busy trying to teach the players that are playing every day to learn the systems put in place. However, again, I would expect this to only affect some and not the majority of juniors and seniors in years 2 and 3. Stop laying on the blanket superiority and discuss.
