I love baseball. But baseball players are way too sensitive.
The idea that the only way to police behavior like that is to throw a baseball 95mph into his ribs the next time up (or at the next batter) is ridiculous. Somehow other sports don’t have a problem even though they don’t resort to such measures.
How about each pitcher who throws a bean ball has to immediately take a turn a the plate. Just one pitch from the opposing pitcher where everyone knows he’s going to get beaned. Would the pitchers sign up for that? Of course not. That’s why they are cowards.
Knowing that a dozen players from the other team will charge out to the field with another dozen players and coaches from the opposing team holding them back plus all your teammates and coaches having your back before anything ensues is hardly the same thing.
