These guys are kids figuring out who they are and what their value systems are. They are not all from upper middle class Utah mormon neighborhoods. Everyone makes mistakes...some bigger than others. Don't kid yourself...there are parties every weekend that you can find lot's of BYU FB players at. Some might have alcohol, some might have pot, other might just be soda or Kava...Kalani understands his kids and their backgrounds. I wish the school would leave it up to the Bishops and coaches to deal with kids that have made mistakes. Making all of these things public doesn't help anyone. The legal issue of a DUI adds to the complexity, but let the legal system play out before you rush to judgement. Say what you want about Whittingham, but look at the number of 2nd and 3rd chance kids that they have supported as they turn their lives around...many have moved on after football to become great contributors to their communities. Kicking a kid out of school is not the answer in my humble opinion. If they are repeat offenders...that is a different story.
