I've been listening to Cowherd and his take is that the 4 team playoff is going
destroy college football. That, along with no parity. Meaning for the last 5 years it has been Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, and then a toss up for #4. He says that parity is why the NFL is doing so well. At the beginning of the NFL season a lot of teams feel that they can win the Super Bowl or make the playoffs.
Herbstreit is exactly right here. If there isn't a change in the playoff system it will be damaging to the sport long term.
