The NFL feels great because every game is legitimately important. It's a horserace, but losing 1 or 2 games doesn't doom a season. In fact, you can lose 4 or 5 and still make the playoffs...simply a harder path once you get there.

Would be great to see something along those lines in college football where losing 1 game doesn't knock you out of a tiny 4 team playoff. (unless of course you're Clemson or Alabama, then you can lose a game with ease and still be a top 4 team, hehe....or that year LSU was 2 loss and was sent to the BCS championship game)
