he shared a funny story while playing at BYU. Said boosters would come around to meet players etc and he remembers seeing this one guy wearing cowboy boots and driving a Trans Am. Thought it was kind of funny until Nate Call (asst coach at the time) told him, "Hey Travis you should really take time to get to know these guys (the boosters) and that they could become meaningful relationships down the road.

Travis said the next day he started to do that and that he formed a good friendship with Roney (Nu Skin founder) and after his playing days were over Roney provided him some really valuable mentoring in entering the business world and being an entrepreneur. I don't remember the name of his current business that he started but he did say he's started several businesses and sold them when they started doing well. He laughed at how big of a deal he thought the money was he earned as a player but said it's nothing compared to what he was able to do after his playing career was over with the relationships he formed as a player.
