A team did it to us this past weekend and they hit quite a few in the 1st half..
...it forced us to come out and extend our D.

As for your assertion that aggressive D's push offensive players further out by denying the ball, the correct counter on offense when your defender is playing denial D is to go backdoor. That's supposed to be a basic fundamental part of our offense but this past seasonon we didn't have ballhandlers who were good at reading or bigs/wings who would cut backdoor.

Last season slow footed guys like Lee, Dalton Nixon and Seljaas all made a living going back door when their defender over-played on the perimeter and we had a PG who was good at reading the D in a PNR situation and getting the ball to the cutter/roller early. The reason they had to over play on the perimeter was because we stretched the floor and could hit from deep.
