Sir, I am not making "constant and relentless attacks on church leadership as aggrandizing." I am making a limited critique of your "joke" in the OP - which you have since revised.
I have no beef with "leadership". I participate in leadership. I support leadership. None of the leaders I know and respect would make a "joke" where the entire point is their position in the hierarchy because they would understand that jokes like that reflect poorly on the teller.
I appreciate that you are willing to invest so much time to the church, to your missionaries. No doubt many benefit from your efforts. I salute you for it.
