Whoa, this was not about a 'good ole boys club' that NOBODY signs up for.
This was about a good man joking about how the timing of BYU's run of loses lined up with him accepting a calling. It would have been just as humorous if that calling were librarian or nursery leader or if someone accepted a less than desirable job somewhere. He didn't seek out his calling, only did his best and accepted when called.
every one of us on this board makes jokes (many of them bad and many of them about ourselves) let's laugh at each other especially when someone puts themself out there to be laughed at their own expense for everyone else feel a little bit better about their own deficiencies.
